Bridgestone Blizzak Tires Demand Tough Winter Tires

Challenge winter with Bridgestone Blizzak tires, designed to help you grip in snow, ice, and cold.

Blizzak Specifications & Speed Rating

With Bridgestone Blizzak tires, winter can stay a wonderland. These winter snow tires are made to stand up to all winter weather conditions, with enhanced grip, flex, and bite.

  1. NANOPRO-TECH™ + RC POLYMER: NanoPro-Tech™ improves tire grip in wet conditions, fuel efficiency, wear resistance, and durability. The RC polymer reinforces enhanced grip on icy and snowy roads. The two form a powerful duo to prevent slipping and sliding when you’re driving in rough winter weather.
  2. ZIG-ZAG / 3D SIPES: These zig-zag sipes are small, narrow slots molded into the tread element. They increase the number of “biting edges” to enhance traction on icy roads.
  3. OPTIMIZED TREAD WIDTH: Trekking through snow and slush is made easier with optimized tread width. With Blizzak tires, you can put snow and slush in the rearview mirror.
  4. MULTICELL® COMPOUND: The multicell® compound creates millions of microscopic pores that remove the thin layer of surface water that can allow the car to slide on ice. This technology increases tread contact area and, most importantly, better grip.

Blizzak Tire Q&A

How do Blizzak tires work so well?

You can give some credit to polar bears for the peak performance of Blizzak tires. Bridgestone engineers examined how a polar bear’s paws stay soft in cold weather, allowing them to grip the ice. They then developed tire technology that would mimic the gripping ability of a polar bear’s paw. And this bear-inspired technology is now part of Blizzak tires.

Thanks, polar bears! You’re helping drivers of Blizzak-equipped cars stay safe on the road!

Who are Blizzak tires designed for?

No matter whether you’re driving a compact car, coupe, sedan, minivan or truck, studless Bridgestone Blizzak tires can give you peace of mind in the wintertime when you’re dropping the kids off at school, commuting to work, or going over the river and through the woods to Grandma’s house.

Can I use Blizzak tires all year?

As great as Blizzak tires are, they’re meant for driving in the winter, not the warmer months of spring and summer. Driving on Blizzak tires in warm weather could cause them to wear faster, and lead to reduced gas mileage and compromised handling. We’ve got plenty of other tires that can meet your year-round needs, though.

Where can I buy Blizzak tires?
